Slamm Jamm recently released another video interview that I completed at last year's event. Noiya are a relatively new company but their designs are pretty good and they are supporting UK rollerblading by holding an annual event called the Noiya Jam in Sheffield.

Support these guys and they will continue to support UK rollerblading.

Slamm Jamm interview with Jake Eley

Here is the second interview I conducted at the 2009 Slamm Jamm, featuring Loco Skates owner and ex K2 pro skater, Jakey Eley. Jake was one of the most recognisable athletes in UK rollerblading before he decided to help stabilise the rollerblading industry in the UK by setting up one of the only skater-owned shops in the country.

A few months ago I got invited to work at Slamm Jamm XII, hang out with some of the best rollerbladers in the world and drink my weight in alcohol. In return, all I had to do was write some updates for the website and interview a few people. One of my interviewees was UK Skate owner Steve Bass. I am pretty sure there are more to follow...

Slamm Jamm XII

Well, Slamm Jamm XII was a lot of fun. I watched some incredible skating from Sam Tuffnell, Joe Atkinson and Romain Godenaire and did a little bit of skating myself.

It was nice that little Joe won the Richard Taylor Scholarship because he has an incredible amount of talent and he is a really cool little dude. Well done Joe.

As always, the afterparty was carnage. I ended up with anti-vandal paint all over my hands and missed my bus back to London. Bloody typical. Oh well, it was worth it.
